Robin Simon is the President of Harpoon Capital, a published author, active investor, licensed CPA (Texas License #101559), and licensed Mortgage Originator (NMLS #2718614 across Texas and Rhode Island). He specializes in Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) financing, with a particular emphasis on short-term rental loans, standing as an industry pioneer in both space and strategy, having directly overseen the origination of over 2,500 DSCR loans surpassing $750M in total volume.

Recognized as a leading authority on rental property financing, Robin is the author of The Book on DSCR Loans: A Complete Guide For Real Estate Investors and Mortgage Professionals. As a prolific contributor on BiggerPockets with over 5,000 community contributions, his insights on interest rate pricing, loan structuring, short-term rental underwriting, tax strategies, and the BRRRR method have guided thousands of investors through complex capital markets.

Robin operates on both sides of the closing table.
